Meet Our Pastor

The Reverend Michael A. Stitt is a 1987 graduate of West Chester University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Liberal Arts, concentrating in Business Management. He earned a Master of Theological Studies from Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2001. He was licensed in November 1988 at Saints Memorial Baptist Church in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and ordained in September 1998 at New Hope Baptist Church in Paoli, Pennsylvania. During his ministerial career he has served in a wide variety of positions in several congregations. From July 2000 until February 2005, he was a member of Triumph Baptist Church in Sewickley, Pennsylvania where he served on the evangelism team, Youth Ministry, and assisted the Pastor.

Pastor Stitt served as Interim Pastor at Paoli Baptist Church in Paoli, Pennsylvania from April 2005 until April 2006. In October of 2006, he followed the leading of the Holy Spirit and joined the family of Macedonia Baptist Church in Norristown, Pennsylvania. Under the leadership of Pastor Byron L. Craig he served as Associate Pastor, Elder of Christian Education and overseer of the Overcomers Ministry. In March 2012, he became Interim Pastor at Saints Memorial Baptist Church in Bryn Mawr. Later that year, on October 12, 2012, Pastor Stitt was installed as the Senior Pastor at Saints Memorial where he continues to serve and lead. Pastor Stitt’s vision for Saints Memorial is to be “A Place where people can Learn and Grow through the Word of God and Discipleship.”

In addition to his work within congregations, Pastor Stitt has served as an Instructor and as Assistant Dean for the New Life Bible Institute. He has served as guest chaplain for the Pittsburgh Steelers periodically starting in the early 2000’s up to as recently as 2018 and also as a guest chaplain for the Denver Broncos in 2017. Pastor Stitt has been privileged to travel to Uganda and Haiti which enabled him to minister to the people and the people to him. He has had a successful corporate career in Management Training and Leadership within the Pharmaceutical field and has been acknowledged with numerous awards for his work. He praises God for opening up doors and blessing his career.

He married his lovely wife, the former Roslyn McKenney on June 6, 1981. They have been blessed with 2 beautiful daughters, Jennifer (Rivera) and Allison (Brown), sons-in-law, Joshua Rivera and Brian Brown, and 3 granddaughters, Gianna Brown, Celia Brown, and Bella Rivera.
